"Cultivating Prana"

This was an article by Robert E. Svoboda and the first paragraph is my daily affirmation. I thought this would be a great entry to really start my journaling process.
"Whoever you may be, and wherever you may live, you live your life well when you live it at the right rate. Plow your way through life and life will wear you out; poke your way along and your life will grind to a halt. Find the pace that suits you, though, and amble along it accordingly, and your world will spontaneously level a path for you."
I have to thank my sister for passing this article onto me because it has put my life with 3 kids, a thriving marriage, and now a business into perspecive and it helps me with the balance of it all. Thank you also to Bryan Welsh http://www.mitstudio.com/ for bringing in the trifecta word "validation". Am I taking steps in my business because they are conscious, productive choices or am I doing them to get the validation form other photographers.
I am finally doing this blog because I was ready and I felt like I needed an outlet, not because of the pressure from so many photographers telling me I needed one. Thanks for the constant reminders that the blogs and websites are out there and waiting for me though! I leave you with a picture of what puts everything in perspective for me. It's what some people search a lifetime for. It's what some people leave carreers to go find. It's what help introduce me to my passion for photography. They are my family and they inspire all things amazing in me. photo by the famous Shamon www.essenceimagesphotography.com

Beautifully said. I am so glad to see this post, to see where you are at. You are my friend, mentor, inspiration, partner (life or in crime- hmmm, probably a little of both). Seriously though, I am so excited to see where you go with this...

You are and always will be so ahead of the game! You may be 32, but you have the wisdom of someone who is 72. To understand the author's words and to practice them and live them daily is THE SECRET. Blog on dear sage!

I love that you got so much from an article and figured out how to apply it your life. I can't only hope that something will do the same for me one day! You rock sista!
