Laugh with me!

Coming off an incredible weekend with Jake and the kids with our dear friends Heidi and Dave. We wet to a friend's cabin all together with our kids and had a relaxing, beautiful time (blog more later). These shots of me were taken the other night over at the Fancy Pants "glamor night". I set up a little piece of paper and a light and opened shop for the people that attended to get a fun picture. I was checking light and my friend Lindsay took these two of me while we were testing the set-up. I love to laugh as many of you know and this night was no exception. We had a blast and I will share some of the pictures I snagged soon. So I leave you with these shots to make you smile and remember to try and laugh today. You should probably just try to do a real one as you are reading this just to be spontaneous and to laugh at yourself! WHOAHAHAHAHA....now I am laughing again.

Numero Uno!

These pictures were from Mother's Day, and I wanted to blog about them so that I would have them in "my journal". It represents many #1's in my life. Can Family, God, and Husband all be tied for #1 in my life? This is a special place that we like to go to, to be close to nature and to each other:) The kids always have a blast just throwing rocks, exploring, and catching fish with goldfish nets. No it's not amusement park, we don't have a cabin out there with all the amenities, and it's not the beach. But, man is it a peaceful spot for us to connect and appreciate the simplicity in our days. I have been know to miss mountains among other obvious observations throughout my life, because I get so distracted in my own head. But, everytime I go out to this wonderful spot, I am able to see the tiny details and the amazing beauty around us. I have always said that I am not a nature-lover, but that statement couldn't have been further from the truth. I appreciate nature more than ever, I just have to quiet down enough to listen to it and really see it's beauty.

Speaking of beauty! After 10 years, my heart still flutters, the chase is still on, and the long running dispute of who got whom is still is question:) I am so thankful that no matter how much stress is in his life or what is going on in his head, he is always able to turn it all off when it comes to being with us. He is my ultimate role model in "being in the moment, and taking one thing at a time". He takes each one of us in like a breathe of fresh air and he absorbs every moment in so that it can get him through the next work week.
Plus I think he is HOT!
When are there we like to look for heart-shaped rocks to bring back to the house for inside and around our yard outside.
Riverbed rocks are so beautifully shaped and I LOVE the colors that bend together.

Brotherly Love

First, let me talk about this little man of mine...Tré Baby. His quite, gentle, wise eyes say it all. When his baby sister was born it was like the ultimate Christmas for him. He nurtured her from day one and always wanted to hold her. It was no surprise that Jalena was the same when Jamison was born. We are totally blessed that they have that sibling love for each other that overpowers any kind of jealousy or fighting. Tré has been a beautiful example for his little sister and brother to follow, and I know that he molds them daily with his actions and emotions! And yet he makes them comfortable enough and supports who they are as their own individuals.
What do I say about this little guy? I know that I have displayed many times his funny side. What is not so obvious is the side of him that is very sensitive and caring side of him that warms my heart daily. Everytime Tré and Jalena come home from school, he runs to the door and hugs them and acts like they have been gone for days. When I look into his eyes, I see Jake more than the other two. He has those puppy dog slanted eyes with the most expressive eyebrows ever!
This is one of those series that I didn't pose. Jamison was making Tré laugh (as usual) and Tré was just feeling the love and gave him a kiss. Hold onto those kisses little guys because they disappear when you are adult brothers:(
This is an emotional one....says protective, caring brother, like no other.

Tré has a thing for soft skin. He always is petting Jamie's cheeks saying that he has the softest cheeks ever! Jamie is pretty tolerant, but Tré is going to have to find another source soon (no not another baby in this family). He told us the other day that he wanted to hold a baby so bad and asked if we knew any that we could have over. He settled for Jamie's cheeks once again.
At the end of this little 20 minute adventure as I was trying out a rented lens and waiting for Jalena to get out of school, we picked up Lou. Tre´wanted to go get her of course and she was excited to see him as usual. Have I mentioned lately how blessed Jake and I are. Our kids make us smile each day, they are healthy, we don't have to diffuse big fights (yet?) and they bring us sheer joy. Really they are the definition joy, love, and happiness for me. Thank you God.
