Sheer Delight!

Well, I didn't quite get my fix of the Grotto at the wedding. I wanted to be able to go study it again and use more of it's potential. What better way to that then to take a senior, without her phone of course, for a couple hours. You'd be surprised how much more attention you get out of these kids once you take their social life...their appendage away:) This is beautiful Sam and I have shot her before. She is family and I have had the sheer joy of getting to really know her just this last year. I love her personality and her soft, stunning spirit! She is so easy to be around and when she comed into her "own", watch out world! This is only a third of the amazingness and variety that we got out of this shoot. I will try to share more on her shoot and the wedding.

And of course the infamous T.V. shot! She has a thing (or a fear, she didn't specify) for dinosaurs:)

Miss B

Wait until you see this girl's whole shoot! I am only half way through the shoot and I can't get through it all fast enough. This lovely person has been in my life for 5 years and we have been blessed to have her amazing family in our lives. I have watched 'B' grow into her own over the years and I love the person I see before me. She has a confidence inside her that gets stronger and stronger each day that is going to take her an incredible journey in life. What more could you ask for in a daughter, and they have four of them! I enjoyed our day so much 'B' and although I can't be close to my own nieces and nephews (miss you guys), it makes me happy that I can make a difference in your life and be there for you. We love you very much and I can't wait to show you the rest! K

'S' is for Shy!

I have had a few shoots lately of seniors and they were so shy! I know that 'S' said that she had a great time during the shoot and she had a beautiful smile on her face the whole time, but I think she may think that I am crazy. She is a beautiful girl and a very talented softball player, I hear. But she was so quiet, which means I am usually extra loud in the shoot. I hope I didn't annoy her too much and I really hope that she enjoys the shots that I got. I love her shyness in the pictures, and I really love the laughing ones. Check out the first one of her shadow...I think that it is what all women in or out of sports should see as their perception of themselves:)

Senioritis

I love senior shoots! I love the variety that I am able to capture in such a short time. I love the trendiness of them. And most of all I love to see the sparkle in their eyes when they start to feel like rockstars and then when they see their photos and gain confidence at such an impressionable time in their lives. This was a really fun shoot with Geoff. His mom came with him and they had a great day together, and I am so glad that I was a part of it. Here's what his mom wrote me:
Dear Kathy,

"Thank you so much. I love them all!!!!!! We had such a great time that night that we went to dinner after we left and talked about the experience for about 2 hours. Geoff is so excited to see the proofs that he’s been asking about them every day. I guess he thinks he’s handsome or something. I’m so happy you agreed to do his photos. It is so important to me to do this for him since he’s our baby and all and he’ll be leaving for Guard training in Georgia this summer and then on to college at OSU. He’s a terrific son and we’re so proud of him. Again, thank you for the terrific time."
